Man is a predatory animal (inclined to theft or robbery).
The ownership is affected by predatory instinct, the commandment "Do not steal" is to limit their natural instinct.

The natural man is very similar to mono, civilized man is a man on moral grounds designed artificial. The moral norm "not to covet the goods of others and do not steal," begins to emerge property rights.

kill, steal, do not respect their elders, to desire your neighbor's wife , etc. and these unfortunate tendencies spring from the very nature of man, of that feeling primitive, universal and invincible that pushes him to the pursuit of pleasure, well being and survival, and away from discomfort, effort and pain.
This is the man in his natural state. The moral standards by limiting their natural instincts the first steps to achieve peaceful coexistence and increasing population, opening the way to the emergence of civilization.
